This week he can sit up on his own for much longer. In fact I put him in the pack and play with some toys and was able to do my stuff for almost 30 mins. Not bad. He still needs something behind him when he is on the hard floor....found that out the hard way. The boppy works though so I was able to get a lot done this weekend. I know, enjoy it now before he is mobile. My days are numbered.

Last week Carter kind of started sitting up. At first it was only for a few seconds and as you can see in these pictuers, I felt safer surrounding him with pillows. It also helps to distract him by keeping a toy in front of him. If he is focused on the toy (or getting that toy in his mouth) he doesn't think about what is behind him and stays up longer.

He looked so cute in his Valentines Day outfit, thanks to Nana Carol.

Don't worry Geelans, I have picked up the St. Patty's Day attire (actually did something ahead of time). He will not go without the green.

Iowa was playing Wisconson so I sucked it up and put Carter in his Hawkeye gear just for Grandpa. Carter is no longer a good luck charm for the Hawkeys however because they didn't play so hot. Maybe its all the drool???

Carter went to Illinois over New Years and met Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Seyb. He also got introduced to all his girl cousins (they really out number him). It was Carter vs Brylee, Ella, Faith, Paige and Maggie. He managed just fine.
